3. Advanced level
The advanced level courses and events are considerably more complex than the intermediate level courses and basic events you may have taken before. When you take a course or participate in an event that is categorized as advanced, it is assumed that you have a solid understanding of legal terms and the IP-toolbox (different categories of IPRs discussed), and the course will not explain all legal terms used. You can look up related resources or prior courses if you need to, but the emphasis of these courses is mainly on strategic matters, implementation, efficiency improvement, and decision-making.
These courses are ideal if you want to prepare thoroughly before entering into negotiations with a potential partner or if you need to hire an IP lawyer or patent attorney – and do so often, but feel that too much is lost in translation. Use these advanced courses not only to understand your IP-toolbox but to handle them professionally and regularly.
Moreover, many of the courses and events are ideal for empowering yourself to participate more actively in strategic discussions in corporate settings where intellectual property rights, exclusivity, competitive edge, and related topics are discussed, and you currently feel a bit insecure or “behind”.
