Partner with me to understand your business’s opportunities for protection with intellectual property rights (IPRs), such as patents or trademarks, trade secrets, and more.
The proper framework and training for your team, function, or entire company staff can make a massive difference in spotting opportunities to protect your competitive edge and future outlook.
Depending on your needs, tailor-made solutions are a brilliant way to get a two-hour introductory patent course or a two-day workshop.
Extensive tailor-made courses or workshops may not be the most cost-effective solution for smaller businesses.
That’s why I offer 1:1 sparring sessions and sparring bundles. These allow us to make a plan together and focus on exactly what you need at your business’s current stage and the goals you need to protect with IPRs.
Customized solutions like these are mainly for businesses or teams, associations or "nerd-clubs" that are ready to invest to upgrade their skills.
If you are not serious about implementing workflows for respecting others' and your own IP-rights, they are not for you.
If the value of your assets does not matter to your business success, then you have nothing to lose - nor protect.
To which extend the tailormade solution impacts your business, is up to you.
You have full power to decide what the tailor-made solution includes, and how you want me to support you and your team in implementing it.
The difference matters, when you need to not overlook opportunities and/or risks, and your team is inexperienced, but it can also save you from investing in strategic less meaningful IP.
Proactively envision your success to eliminate the regret that comes from thinking, “If only I had acted sooner,” when it’s too late.
Understand that failing to respond effectively when a competitor copies your work and starts siphoning away your profits is not only devastating but entirely avoidable.
Take charge of your intellectual property and protect your hard-earned achievements to secure your position in the market.
A tailor-made course is a premium offer that requires significant effort on your part to bring it to fruition. For example, I need to understand your specific knowledge requirements, the technology sector or product type you are involved with, your business type, and details about your product development process. This information is essential for me to create a personalized solution for you before I begin developing your customized course.
Start the conversation about the tailor-made solution you consider e.g., your team, company, or network group.
I will reply withing 3-5 days (usually) with feedback on my capacity and we meet online to take the discussion one step further.
From our discussions, I will prepare an outline for a course, workshop, event or combination that matches your needs and budget.
I send an offer, that you can comment on, reject or approve.
Before I start producing the customized solution we agreed to, you’ll pay a 50% deposit of the agreed price. Once that is done, I start working.
The day after my delivery you will receive an invoice for the remaining sum of the agreed price, which will be due within 10 days.
Depending on our agreement, I will be ready to deliver the agreed solution, live or online.
Each idearlify®tailored solution is an individual product. Over time, the four elements below have been shown to be the most popular in such solutions.
Depending on which level of knowledge you need (beginner, intermediate, expert strategies) or if you need several options, we can structure the solutions to fit exactly that.
If you need, e.g., a basic patent course, a live course or webinar may be significant. If you need to train your project managers to spot risks and opportunities throughout the research, development, and sales processes, you may need a workshop-style knowledge product with an online course. Each Idearlify® tailored solution is a unique product. Our experience has shown that the following four elements are the most popular in such solutions. Depending on your level of knowledge (beginner, intermediate, expert strategies) or if you need multiple options, we can structure the solutions to fit your exact needs.
For example, if you require a basic patent course, a live course or webinar may be suitable. On the other hand, if you need to train your project managers to identify risks and opportunities throughout the research, development, and sales processes, you may require a workshop-style knowledge product with online course elements and Q/As.ments and Q/As.
Trust what PATENTsmarter™ customers and followers say…
This is an example of a customized solution that has proven helpful for various types of businesses, providing the overall structure of one specific customer.
Initially, the plan was to conduct a two-day workshop for research and development project managers, with the objective of optimizing patent portfolio work and freedom to operate (that is, knowledge and meditation relating to third-party-owned patents and other intellectual property rights).
This workshop provided all research and development employees with basic patent knowledge, allowing the investment to significantly impact a larger group of employees. It also increased the awareness and collaboration opportunities for the project managers.
Everyone from reasearch and development was invited and we covered the basis of what intellectual property rights are, what patents are and what they can be used for.
What can be patented, who is an inventor, confidentiality and sensible communication about intellectual property rights and the engaged participants asked a lot of great questions during this session.
On the first day we looked at the research and development processes that was headed by the project managers and mapped potentioan intellectual property rights related risks and opportunities.
We talked about the timing of product development and sales or publication activities, contract negotiations and eployee hiring and leaving processes.
2 weeks after the first workshop day, we met agaon for a secnd workshop. This allowed for som "digestion" of the information on boths ends.
From the mapped development processes, I prepared case studies and discussion topics on how to approach opportunities and prevent risks, how they could utilize intellectual proprty rights and trade secrets even more, to attract the customers they develop products for (based on their e.g. patent portfolio) and how to avoid harminng the business with premature or 3rd party infringing disclosures.
I collected the knowledge and provided digested knowledge in online checklists and some downloadable templates for the project manager team, which they could access and use on my dedicated online course platform.
I also provided additional lessons and topic digests for each topic discussed, so that the participants could revisit the discussed cases and reflect on workshop-day-discussions about the impact on their business and product development.
A communicaton check list was provided for distribution across the research and development team.
