Should we go name-hunting together?
Naja, who came for a 1:1 sparring session, which turned into more than “just” a chat about trademarks and rights.
Last week (update in May 2025 – it’s a bit longer ago than last week, but it is still relevant!) I had an extraordinary meeting with Naja, who reached out because she is a new solo entrepreneur and needed to kickstart her protection strategy.
Who is Naja Klærke?
And what does she do in her business?
Check out Naja’s LinkedIn profile for her full background and experience. At NMOVE, Naja fosters a community that motivates movement on everyone’s terms.
Her focus lies in entertainment and fun, offering, e.g., communal dance experiences to individuals and workplaces – often with a genius gadget: headphones that create your little bubble to disappear in – without losing the option to connect to others present with you, if you want.
Whether you prefer to engage or disappear into your bubble, there’s a space for your unique dance without any rights or wrongs.
From boss to sparring partner
Naja, once my boss when I was a spinning instructor long ago, reached out to me for a 1:1 sparring session. She wanted to give her business a focused push toward finding the right brand name that could support her brand and products, and wanted to know more about what she could do in her company to protect what she does.
With minimal experience in this solo-entrepreneurial space and no means of understanding what intellectual property rights cost, we started our talk with some basics.
What Happened During Our 1:1 sparring session?
Our sparring session evolved into a mini-workshop, where we brainstormed company and product names for Naja’s business.
After the 60-minute meeting, Naja said to me:
“Your brain is amazing, Gyde! I had no idea you could help me in the creative process I’m currently stuck in.
I came to talk about trademarks and how to get from A to B, but our conversation became so much more than that.
How can you turn working with rights from something I would always avoid for as long as possible, along with accounting, taxes, and all the other boring stuff, into something meaningful and motivating to work with?!
Anyway, thanks for a fantastic meeting, you are a star!”

And then Naja wanted more than name hunting…
Naja expressed her need to understand more about her rights in general and how to exercise them practically to fit her business model and workflows.
To provide Naja with a (free) opportunity to learn about her rights as a business owner, I recommended that she sign up for my newsletter. She could then join my Danish online event and mini-masterclass, “KOPIFORSVARS-metoden” (held on January 16, 2024), which she did on the spot.
When I wrote this blog post, you could sign up for the Danish Newsletter and get a mini-e-book (in Danish) listing 7 major pitfalls commonly stepped into by entrepreneurs when they try to stop copies of their products or content, however, which potentially harm their business more than the copy itself. However, in early May 2025, I am not offering that – and am currently rewamping my strategy, so start tuned for news and offers via the Blog or main page: PATENTsmarter™.
After the event, Naja sent me her warmest regards and expressed her excitement about her mini-masterclass experience. She even purchased my newest (also Danish) online entrepreneur template and checklist course package, “STOP TYVEN”-pakken, and left me a glowing recommendation on Trustpilot.
“Gyde from PATENTsmarter ” made it understandable and motivating to consider this vital subject of protecting my company assets. I came to her without any clearance of what exactly I was looking for, and on top of knowledge, I got ideas and inputs boosting my creative work with name and concept in my business.
At no point she was focused on sales and business and I have felt helped and guided due to sincere interest in helping me protect my business against copyists.
I happily enlisted for a Masterclass PATENTsmarter did on how to stay safe from someone copying you and again insights were useful, straight on and easy to understand.
An absolutely HUGE recommendation to ALL small, medium and large business to contact PATENTsmarter if you need help/advice/input on how to avoid being copied.”

The name hunt provided insights, motivation, and direction Naja can build upon now!
Naja’s entrepreneurial drive led her to seek intellectual property rights and trademark guidance. As a busy business owner, she knew the importance of investing her time where it mattered most for the growth of her business.
Through our 1:1 sparring session, Naja gained much-needed guidance on where to focus and how to safeguard her brand identity.
Together, we brainstormed and hunted for a unique and protectable brand identity that she could develop further on her own and that would set her business apart from the rest.
This exercise was motivating and inspiring and pushed Naja towards a new level of mindset and future business development.
Of course, I love that I could help Naja, who was once my boss, and we would thus have a personal relationship. Who would not love that?! Right?!
But the truth is, I love helping every entrepreneur who dares to dream big. I want to help every innovative and creative business owner or employee who needs that extra push to kick-start their copy-defense and product or business protection.
We can name hunting, too, if you want!
