Gyde visited Trine’s podcast “Det går sgu nok” (“everything will be okay”) for episode 24, “undgå at blive kopieret” (“avoid being copied”)
Today (Wednesday, 08 November 2023), I visited the Danish podcast “Det går sgu nok” (Link to Podcast at Spotify), which is produced by Trine Ravnkilde.
It’s an easy-listening and laid-back interview on a podcast about the entrepreneur life and that “everything will be okay” (a loose translation of the Podcast title into English).
In Episode #24, “Undgå at blive kopieret” (“Avoid being copied” Link to Apple Podcast Link), Trine and I chat about copies in the digital entrepreneur space: online courses, sales pages, newsletters, and other things that are valuable in businesses that sell most of their products and have a large presence on the vast internet.
Who is the podcast owner: Trine Ravnkilde
Trine is a community strategist, serial entrepreneur, author, and speaker and calls herself an internet fangirl.
She describes herself as diligently working for change in the way we use social media. She wants SoMe to become a SoWe, by building exclusive communities focused on generosity and the customers – not ourselves. Reference: goforitcommunity.dk
If you don’t know her, you should check her out. She has helped many people throughout her career (even Elise Darma, who is a marketing specialist herself. Elise has left glowing recommendations for Trine’s work. Check them out on Trine’s sales page for “Mikrometoden” (currently sold out).
I was thrilled when Trine asked me to join her for an episode
One thing is that Trine is a unique and inspirational person whom I have been following and taking courses with for some years. The other is that she knows a thing or two about being copied. Also, as an online entrepreneur…
Naturally, I was amazed that Trine takes her (and her followers’) copy-defense knowledge seriously. Let’s face it, not too many think that this topic is the most sexy one to take on for a podcast episode. However, Trine managed to guide the conversation, so it was an easy and relaxed experience for me.
Why #24 “Undgå at blive kopieret” matters to Trine
According to Trine, most entrepreneurs have felt the sting that a competitor’s copy can provoke in the deepest pit of their stomachs.
Whether it’s a social media posting, a newsletter e-mail, a sales page, or maybe even an entire product, it should never be taken as a compliment. And that’s why she invited me to join her.
So, in this podcast episode, we talked about:
✅ How you can prevent copying of your material
✅ What you can (and must!) do to stop a copy
✅ What is the difference between a copy that needs to be stopped – and an (annoying) competitor who is allowed to be there?
We also discussed my e-book, which helps avoid the classic blunders most entrepreneurs commit when copied. You can get it if you sign up for the Danish newsletter. (I am working on t translations to English.
Listen to the podcast episode.
If you haven’t already, I highly recommend listening to the podcast episode—and while at it, spending some time on the other episodes, too.
Trine is a fantastic storyteller with many fun anecdotes, making this podcast entertaining and highly addictive.
If you do not understand Danish, the best alternative I can offer is my blog – at least for now 😉. The topic is hot… So do yourself a favor and learn – before it is too late!
